Lovely Shalia Vanderweken is a native northern Californian, born in Oroville and raised in Ukiah. She has now been living and working in Cloverdale for 42 years.

Shalia (pronounced SHAY-luh) was a retail clerk for several years before marrying her now-retired physician husband in 1980. She then became his office manager for 15 years, earning a license as a Certified Xray Technician along the way. When he retired from his family practice in Cloverdale in 2000, she restarted the real estate career she had begun 28 years before.

Shalia and fly fisherman Bill live on a small ranch just outside Cloverdale where, when time allows, she indulges her hobby of gardening. Besides family and church, her other interests include home improvement, travel, jewelry design and restoration, garage and estate sales, reading and much more!  However, her greatest pleasure is loving and spoiling her 8 year-old grandson, Seth, her son Shawn's only (so far) child, and the light of her life.

Shalia has advanced training in Real Estate, including certification as a CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), SRES (Senior Real Estate Specialist), ASP (Accredited Staging Planner), and GRI (Graduate Real Estate Institute).  She also has had over 20 courses in jewelry creation and restoration.

Her background is one of simple Christian honesty, and she is firmly committed to the Golden Rule; to treat others as you would want to be treated.

Shalia ia an energetic and cheerful delight to her family, clients, and many friends.
